After getting to know Ash and Jerry through their engagement shoot and coffee catch ups as we came up with our plan I knew that this was going to be an incredible day. They are both such genuine people and had things planned out beautifully so I knew nothing would be a stress on the day. We started the day with Jerry and his groomsmen as they chilled out around home and played some backyard cricket in their suits.

Then we headed off to the bridal prep and the first thing I heard when I got out of the car three doors down was a whole lot of laughter coming from their address… another sure sign this was going to be a very fun day! Don’t you love the bridesmaids matching robes!

I love those special moments with a bride and her parents…

Then it was off to the Saint Peter and Pauls Catholic Church in style.

The ceremony was punctuated by some hilarious moments when Father John called Ash by her middle name…

After the ceremony we headed straight out to Rossendale where Graham and the team there were happy to let me take an antique chaise lounge down by the river amidst the golden glow of the buttercups. Thanks Graham (and the groomsmen for carrying it), I think you will agree that the photos were definitely worth the effort!!!

All I can say here is that Ash is stunning!

Then off just up the road to a shearing shed that Rossendale own where we made the most of the rusting iron on the outside, and the gorgeous light on the inside!

Just as we were about to head back to the reception I stopped and knew I had to take this photo, It’s one of my all time favourites and just captures something so beautiful about Ash and Jerry.
Back at the reception venue we found a nicely lit spot that was secluded enough to do some fun portraits of all the bridal party.

And then the reception! You know the speeches are good when you both laugh very heartily and also have damp eyes (it must be the dust in the room haha!).

In between courses we snuck out for a few moments to make the most of the fading light amidst the vineyard and get some beautiful shots of the bridesmaids with their real life partners. I have to say that I love sneaking out of the reception to make the most of light like this and luckily Ash and Jerry were keen for it as well!

Because the day was so epic the runsheet pushed out a little bit and Ash and Jerry weren’t too sure if I needed to stay for the first dance; I’m pretty sure they will be so stoked that I did as their first dance shots are magical! Thanks so much for having us part of your day Ash and Jerry, we loved sharing it with you and know you will be loving the photos!
